The first part is personal. The article is about the person Oddrun, taken in the pen by Gunnvald Grønvik. Then we will get a brief overview of her efforts in target ranks and in the Language Council.

The second part consists of five articles about major science projects. Oddrun has devoted her professional life to 1987 to 2017. In the center, the Norwegian Dictionary and the digitization of it, but we also get an article about the African language documentation projects Oddrun has been engaged in (special in Zimbabwe).

The last part consists of smaller subjects, where former colleagues of Oddrun give taste buds of the myriad of small projects that such a comprehensive dictionary work involves.

Finally we take an assessment of word and archive work in relation to scientific qualifications, and one bibliography of the science and popular science staff working for Oddrun.
